The family-friendly Chicago World’s Fair of Money® in Rosemont, August 6-10, 2024, will have more than $100 million of historic rare coins and currency on display, including the USA’s first silver dollar from 1794 insured now for $15 million. Sponsored by the American Numismatic Association, more than 500 dealers will be buying and selling rare coins, paper money, and gold and silver, and many of the experts will provide free, informal evaluations of the public’s old money. Take photos with George Washington, Ben Franklin, and Abraham Lincoln reenactors and participate in educational seminars and a children’s treasure trivia game.
Public Hours: Tuesday, August 6, 1 pm to 5:30 pm; Wednesday to Friday, August 7-9, 10 am to 5:30 pm; Saturday, August 10, 10 am to 3:30 pm.
Admission: Tuesday through Friday, August 6-9, $10 for adults, children 12 and under are admitted free. Free admission for everyone Saturday, August 10.
