REPUBLIC SERVICES (TRASH/RECYCLING) 2021 HOLIDAY SCHEDULE:
Memorial Day - Service interruption - pickup will be on Thursday, June 3rd
Independence Day - No service interruption
Labor Day - Service interruption - pickup will be on Thursday, September 9th
Thanksgiving Day - No service interruption
Christmas Day - No service interruption
From May 15th through September 15th of each year it shall be unlawful for any person to use water for hose fed sprinkling or electronic irrigation of lawns on any day between the hours of 12:00 noon through 6:00 p.m. In addition, if your lot is located on an odd numbered lot, you may only water on odd numbered days of the month, and if your lot is located on an even numbered lot you may only water on even number days of the month. Also, it is unlawful for any person to water on the 31st day of any month. For more information please refer to Ordinance No. 2015-11-18F or call the Public Works Department at 847-698-3744.
Yard waste will be picked up April 3rd through November 27th; by Republic Services it must be placed in biodegradable bags not weighing more than 50 lbs. If you are disposing of branches, please make sure they are bundled and tied in (4) four foot bundles, (6) six to (8) eight inches round. These items must be left curbside by 6:00 a.m. on garbage days.
The season has started for our street sweeper to start cleaning roadways. The sweeper is out Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm; therefore we ask that you abide by the “No Parking” signs, as cars parked on the street are subject to being ticketed by the Rosemont Public Safety Department. If there is a need to have a vehicle on the street, please contact the Rosemont Public Safety Department for special permission at 847-823-1134.
LARGE ITEM PICKUP:
Large item pickup dates are Wednesday, April 7th and Wednesday, October 6th.
If you have items that need to be picked up, please have them curbside no later than 6:00 a.m. that morning. All electronics will be accepted. If you are putting out paint cans, please make sure all paint is dried out. You can do this by placing sand or kitty litter inside the paint can. If you are putting out large appliances with doors, please remove doors for safety reasons. Please contact us with any questions.
