A Memorial Day observance ceremony will be held at Higgins Park in Rosemont on Monday, May 30 to commemorate those who have died while serving the country.
The ceremony starts at 1 p.m., featuring the Chicago Dogs baseball team chaplain, Paul Jepson, Rosemont Honor Guard and an American Legion Post 36 gun salute.
The memorial site at Higgins Park was built as an Eagle project five years ago by Alex Podgor, who was a part of Rosemont Boy Scout Troop 20.
The Memorial Day observance will be open to the public.
