| On Monday June 10, 2024 US Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (8th District) presented the Village of Rosemont with a ceremonial check for $959,752 in federal funding securing upgrades needed for the village’s sewer system. These improvements will reduce the likelihood of sewer overflows, which will improve public health standards and safety throughout the Rosemont community and surrounding areas. Due to Rosemont’s proximity to the Des Plaines River, the area is more susceptible to localized flooding. The funding he secured will ensure that Rosemont’s sewer system remains out of sight and out of mind for its residents, while keeping the community safer and healthier for everyone. |
