Fall is in the air, and Rosemont’s Parkway Bank Park entertainment district (5501 Park Place) is celebrating the season with a series of festive events featuring live entertainment, family-friendly activities and outdoor fun. The September events lineup includes the return of the beloved Battle of the Bags cornhole tournament on Sunday, September 6, Family Fall Fest on Sunday, September 12 and Rosemont’s second annual “Rosetoberfest” on Saturday, Sept. 26. All events will take place on the Park’s great lawn.
Fall festivities at Parkway Bank Park will kick off with the annual “Battle of the Bags” cornhole tournament on Sunday, September 6. Registration begins at 11 a.m., with the tournament starting at 12 p.m. The competitive division ($80 per team) will offer up to $5,000 in cash prizes, while the social division ($40 per team) will feature a variety of prizes including cash and gift certificates.
On Sunday, Sept. 12 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., families can enjoy an afternoon of free fall-themed fun at Family Fall Fest. The event will feature bounce houses, face painting, a petting zoo, balloon sculptors, pumpkin painting and more. Guests can also enjoy a live performance by Jeanie B! and The Jelly Beans, a high-energy children’s band known for their catchy, family-friendly songs.
On Saturday, Sept. 26, guests are invited to raise a stein and celebrate Oktoberfest-inspired traditions at Parkway Bank Park’s second annual Rosetoberfest. The event will feature live music by Paloma, German dancing by the Society of Danube Swabians Youth Group, live wood carving demonstrations and festive competitions. Throughout the celebration, Parkway Bank Park’s restaurants will offer creative takes on German cuisine alongside their signature favorites, served from outdoor food and beverage tents.
