Enjoy Fall with Events Happening in Rosemont
Oct. 20, the Rosemont Chamber of Commerce is hosting a job fair at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center at 5555 N. River Rd. in Rosemont on the first floor from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Companies will be conducting interviews on the spot at the job fair. There is no cost for attendees. Prospective employees should bring several copies of resumes. Parking is available in the William Street garage and East parking garage. Pick up and drop off areas for taxis and ride shares are located at the main circular drive entrance.
The annual Halloween Bar Crawl is an Oct. 29 Halloween weekend opportunity at Parkway Bank Park in Rosemont.The Crawl-O-Ween Bar Crawl takes place on that Friday evening from 6 to 10 p.m. Ticket purchasers can visit six bars in four hours to be entered to win the mystery Rosemont Prize. Costumes are optional, but highly encouraged. Participants who stop in each bar and make a purchase get their cards punched for proof.Participating venues are Adobe Gilas, Bub City, Five Roses, Kings Dining & Entertainment, Park Tavern and Sugar Factory. Advance tickets for $10 can be purchased at eventbrite.com. Tickets will be available on site for $15.The ticket price includes access to the bar crawl, two Zanies Comedy Club tickets, and drink specials at each location. Drink specials include $3 draft beers, $4 vodkas plus mixers and $5 specialty drinks. There is a check in process. Upon arriving at Parkway Bank Park in Rosemont, Halloween Bar Crawl participants must check in to receive wristbands and punch cards to participate in the bar crawl. Check in will be located in the white tent in front of Five Roses Pub. One must be 21 years of age and older to participate. Bring a valid ID the night of the crawl event. Parking is free with validation at any of the Parkway Bank Park venues.
With Halloween falling on a Sunday this year, trick-or-treat hours for the village of Rosemont on Oct. 31 will be 2 to 6 p.m. Officers will be out to ensure a safe time.
