VILLAGE OF ROSEMONT CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING OF NEW ICE ARENA

State-of-the-Art $34.5 Million, Twin-Rink Facility Welcomes Youth, Adult & Professional Athletes to Rosemont
New Facility Designated as Chicago Wolves’ New Practice Headquarters

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Today, the Village of Rosemont is proud to celebrate the grand opening of the highly anticipated Rosemont Ice Arena, a new $34.5 million, 103,000-square-foot facility that will be a year-round destination for athletes, families and hockey fans of all ages.

Located just north of Allstate Arena, the state-of-the-art, twin-sheet complex will serve as the new official practice headquarters for the Chicago Wolves professional hockey team, who play their home games at Allstate Arena. The facility features the Wolves’ new dedicated practice quarters including a sauna, steam room, cold plunge, workout room, film room and players’ lounge designed to give athletes an elite-level training environment just steps from their home ice.

The Rosemont Ice Arena also offers a “power play” of benefits for local ice enthusiasts including prime ice time for youth hockey and figure skating groups, evening ice time for adult hockey leagues and dedicated ice time for the Chicago Mission girls’ hockey club, Chicago Edge Skating Academy, Northwest Chargers and York High School.

“Rosemont has always been a destination for premier entertainment and sports, and the new Rosemont Ice Arena continues that tradition,” said Rosemont Mayor Brad Stephens, “This facility not only strengthens our partnership with the Chicago Wolves but also provides new opportunities for our local athletes, families and visitors to enjoy the sport of hockey in an exciting, modern environment.”

Constructed by Nicholas & Associates and designed by ARCON Associates, Inc., the arena’s modern amenities cater to both athletes and spectators alike. The facility features a mezzanine-level sports bar and supper club, Hatty’s Club, where guests can enjoy a full-service dining experience with panoramic views of both ice rinks. The building also includes a grab-and-go market, gym and dedicated team and staff areas for the Wolves and the Chicago Mission girls’ hockey club. The Rosemont Ice Arena will also be home to Illinois Bone & Joint Institute’s newest location, providing athletes and community members convenient access to world-class orthopedic care. Beyond professional and club use, the arena will host public open skate hours and provide a venue for regional and national tournaments.

The Rosemont Ice Arena will be operated by the Nicholas Family of Companies’ Spectate Group, which also manages the Nicholas Sportsplex in Mount Prospect. Under a licensing agreement with the Village of Rosemont, Spectate Group will oversee the day-to-day operations of the arena while both parties share opportunities for sponsorships and naming rights.

“The Rosemont Ice Arena represents the next generation of sports and recreation facilities,” said Nicholas & Associates President Nicholas Marino. “From elite-level training spaces to community skating programs, this arena was built to inspire the next wave of athletes while welcoming fans and families alike.”

With its modern amenities, professional-grade facilities and community-driven programming, the Rosemont Ice Arena reinforces the Village of Rosemont’s ongoing commitment to providing premier recreational spaces that serve residents, athletes and visitors.
