JOB TITLE:   BENEFITS COORDINATOR

VILLAGE OF ROSEMONT

THE VILLAGE OF ROSEMONT IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF:

STARTING SALARY RANGE:  50,000 – 53,000 annually dependent on qualifications.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Village of Rosemont is seeking a Benefits Coordinator who is focused on providing a welcoming presence, a collaborative team focus, and accurate and efficient services. Duties will include processing enrollments quickly and accurately; resolving employee issues with benefits administrators, assisting employees with any insurance related issues; providing new hires with explanations of benefits and eligibility; working with individual departments to process all liability and workman’s compensation claims; providing ongoing support for the HR and benefits teams. We are looking to add a team member who is independent, detail oriented, able to organize their time and resources effectively and works cooperatively with others.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    2. Efficiency in Microsoft Office
    3. Experience with payroll a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. This position works in a typical office setting.
    2. Prolonged periods of concentration, proofreading, and extensive computer work.
    3. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
    4. Ability to analyze and solve problem situations.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Candidate screening process may consist of an application review, skills testing, employability assessment, interviews, reference checks, and other job-related testing or verifications. Chosen candidates will be subject to a background and criminal history investigation and qualifying pre-employment drug screen. All full-time employees must reside within the Village of Rosemont. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

To observe, patrol, enforce laws on property, deter criminal activity or other problems and report activities during assigned shift to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, terrorism, and illegal activity.
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons
All officers must:
-Be at least 25 years of age
-Be certified in the State of Illinois as evidenced by providing a copy of their 20- hour and/or 40-hour training certificate by a State of Illinois certified training facility
-Provide a valid State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation Permanent --Employee Registration Card (PERC)
-Possess a High School Diploma or GED
-Possess a Valid Driver’s License
-Undergo a complete criminal background check
-Successfully pass a comprehensive Panel I through IV drug test
-Possess a valid Firearms Owner Identification Card (FOID), if applicable
-Pass a State of Illinois and Federal fingerprint background screening test
-Qualify for an Agency Firearm Authorization Card (FAC), if applying for an Armed position
